14 days of...

Tomorrow I will be starting a photography challenge. For the next 14 days I will photograph some of the things that I am thankful for. My friend Renee got me thinking about this. You she she is a camera ROCK STAR. She is doing the 30 day challenge. I am just a groupie and will be doing 14 days. I can stick with that. I have been tyring to think of what some of the things I will be photographing could be. But I just now, this very minute decided that I am going to go go with my gut. So check back in with me each day to see what I come up with. I am pretty sure you can count on it.

Well with that said I just want to talk a minute about friendship. I think I have mentioned before that I find it hard to make friends. But I find myself being blessed here upon the recent with a most spectacular windfall of friendship from a rather unexpected group of women. You see have I mentioned that I turned 40 this year? Like a gazillion times, right. Well I have been blessed with the friendship of 2 of the most extraordinary woman who are almost 1/2 my age. Let's just call them Gangta Barbie and Farm Girl Barbie (wink wink)! They are younger than my sisters, closer in age to my #19 in fact. But I just LOVE LOVE LOVE them. And no not in the stalker kind of way! They are so full of life and love what they are doing. Both are SAHM's with such diverse backgrounds I am sure the folks are Braum's think we are some kind of special interest group. I learn something from them each time we get together. Photography and Religion are ties that bind. GB is a most natural kind of girl looking for that ultimate 12 step program for a recovering shoe and purse addiction and FGB was persuaded by myself to spend the most ever on a purse last week as we went on a shopping adventure. FGB is a coupon extraordinaire, GB is learning the coupon ropes and I am terrified to use them. We all have children. But have very different parenting styles. They are both Canon girls and I am a Nikon. But we all have a testimony of the same gospel. Wow, today I am so grateful for their friendship. (insert music and flowers)

Dee, I am so thankful for your friendship! It is EXACTLY what I've been needing. I love being a FGB, but was feeling lonely at times. No more. Not with D and GB!! You rock!
